Irreconcilable Differences

I hate that phrase. It is lazy and evil in its finality. There are no such things as irreconcilable differences- it is a euphemism for one's own intolerance and anger. Not to mention it is redundant. Differences are differences, they run separate, parallel lines, if they didn't- they'd be similarities. Parallel lines can never cross. They can only be accepted and understood in their totality. To take a step back, to see the entire picture and to acknowledge cooperation, yielding and one's part in a whole is more difficult than short-sightedness, self-righteousness, self-importance and authoritarian judgment. The problem returns to the individual's destructive preoccupation with his own power and validation.
